Our digital content is sport-specific, and downloaded to your computer. For each sport, we've identified 6-8 critical topics. These topics can be studied at your own pace and preferably during the preseason. Understanding these critical topics should equip you to handle almost all on-field injury management situations for your sport. We know that a coach's time is valuable, so the material is designed to be learned in about an hour. Listen to the mp3 audio, and follow along with the simple PDF for text and photos.
Additionally, you'll get 15-20 other topics that you can study whenever you wish. These topics are important for each sport and should be learned to round out the coach's knowledge base. We recommend that you look these over before the start of the season to familiarize yourself with the issues.
We'll also be rolling out an extensive video library featuring prominent experts in the youth sports community. With the videos we'll be able to cover Hot Topic issues such as key removal from play/return to play issues by sport; tips from athletic trainers; guidelines from college coaches to parents of prospective college athletes; league and event management topics, and many others. The content from the video library will be available to premium subscribers.
We don't want you to try and be a doctor, athletic trainer, or paramedic! In fact, the less you try to make a diagnosis of an injury the more likely you are to make a decision in the best interest of the athlete. Focus on proper management on the sideline, and leave the treatment to a trained professional. We want to raise your awareness of youth sports injuries, to raise your Injury I.Q. We'd like to help guide you to reasonable decisions, always done in the best interests of the young athlete's health.
